Next let's look at what's on the land from Monday through Friday. The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) operates it's RECON station and it's motorcycle testing there from 7-4:30pm. They have been very supportive of the skatepark since day one.
On Saturdays, Sundays and Selected Holidays a portion of the land is turned over the YMCA and HSA to do what they want. So what is on the land?
Well let's first of all we have our 6ft high 20ft wide mini ramp (which was built in October 1997).
Then on to the semi-permanent ramps, an 11ft high 32ft wide vert wall with 10ft transitions and 1ft of vert, an 8ft high16ft wide bank ramp, and a 6 1/2ft high 16ft wide quarter-pipe.
They are semi-permanent because they do not move...easily. All the other obstacles, which include:
Andy Box adopted by Chad: two 18" boxes that can be formed to make a 24ft long box, a U shaped box with a curve and a kink or a lip shaped box or two separate boxes or a wall with steel coping or a Y shaped box or two boxes with a gap or.....
Manual Box: a 12ft long, 1ft high box that is used for beginners to work their way to the 18" box.
